Elements and Performance Criteria
- Determine job requirements
- Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
- Identify job requirements from specifications, drawings, job sheets or work instructions, including machine or process selection and settings
- Conduct pre-start checks
- Undertake programmed operational maintenance according procedures
- Undertake pre-start checks to SOPs
- Verify the match task requirements against equipment, raw material and tooling
- Operate machine/ process
- Load components/feed stock and maintain consistent with production requirements
- Unload machine/process output using appropriate manual handling techniques
- Handle machine/process output and store in a manner not likely to cause damage
- Record production data to SOPs
- Monitor machine/process
- Follow emergency procedures in accordance with SOPs
- Recognise and rectify deviations and faults in product/output, raw material/feed stock, tooling and machine/ process
- Rectify faults/deviations in accordance with standard operating procedures, job sheets or other documentation
- Adjust machine/process settings within parameters, as required
